Gardening Things To See and Do

Wow, there’s so much gardening to do! Plants are springing from the ground like gangbusters! There’s also a lot going on around the Ottawa area. Here’s a few things I’m interested in:
Thursday, May 10 – Ritchie Feed and Seed Annuals and Vegetable Seminar at their Windmill Lane location in Ottawa, ON. Register by calling 613-741-4430.
City of Ottawa Free Lawn-care Seminars on pesticide-free gardening in the Ottawa area. Many locations and dates. To register, call 613-580-6744, ext. 26167.
Saturday, May 12 – Kemptville Horticultural Society’s Plant Sale at the Ferguson Forest Centre in Kemptville, ON from 9 AM to noon.
Sunday, May 13 – Friends of the Farm Plant Sale at the Experimental Farm in Ottawa, ON from 9 AM – 1 PM in the parking lot of the K.W. Neatby building. Cost is $5.
The second weekend of the Ottawa Farmer’s Market is at Landsdowne Park in Ottawa, ON from 8 AM to 3 PM.
Tuesday, May 15 – Organic Gardening Workshop at the Orleans-Cumberland Community Centre in Orleans, ON from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Cost is $5
Saturday, May 25 – Farmer’s Market in North Gower, ON opens for the season from 8:30 AM to 1 PM
